**RE Unit Planning for KS2- Buddhism ** Children will learn how Buddhists live and celebrate important occasions in their faith. They will explore the Buddhist community and learn about how Buddhists live. Symbolism is an important aspect of Buddhism; therefore children will learn the major symbols of this tradition, while exploring the importance of symbolism in other faiths. Below are the lesson outcomes covered in this unit planning: To learn about the life of Buddha Investigate the significance of Vesak and explore ways Buddhists celebrate it To investigate how Buddhists live their faith To hear and discuss Buddhists stories that have a moral message To explore how Theravadin Buddhists express their faith To explore the concept of community in the Buddhist tradition and beyond To develop an understanding of the symbolism involved in Buddhism There are 7 sessions in total but some sessions could be split over two lessons.

Unit Planning for Science Topic on Plants for Year 3 A unit plan of 6 lessons for a topic on plants. Lesson timings for each lesson are approximately 90 or 120 minutes. The planning includes, learning objectives, teaching ideas, key questions, activities and resources list. KS1 PE Planning for Team Work and Spatial Awareness The children will be developing their fundamental movement skills. There will be opportunities for children to improve their balance and coordination skills in a range of contexts such as individual tasks as well as team tasks. The key element will be for them to participate in team games and work well and cooperate with each other. The lessons will also offer chance for the children to develop skills such as balance, spatial awareness, agility and coordination. There are 4 lessons in total - lessons will last approximately one hour. The planning includes the learning objectives, activities including differentiation, success criteria, key vocab, resources needed and cross curricular links.
